Studied basic drawing with my older brother Richard, an award winning artist and commercial sign maker. I started at age 10, winning awards in my age group, took formal instruction from local artists, including basic wood sculpture.
I have done single panel cartoons, several newspapers; Ishpeming Mining Journal, Dalton News Record and commercial ads in the Berkshire Eagle for a client. My art work was featured in the Byron Weston monthly trade journal.
An active member of the Pittsfield Art League and won several awards at shows.
I am a founding member of the Dalton Arts Guild; active publicity and NewsLetter Chairperson for 5 years. Awarded a lifelong membership, I was honored by the Guild when I moved to Florida.
I have been active in New England enjoying success selling my works, an estimated 400 paintings over the years, in private collections plus commissioned works.
The TV and Radio appearances gave me celebrity status locally, and established my art place in the Berkshire County area, Massachusetts. Many original works are in private collections across the United States.
I served, President of the Eustis Art League( 2004-2005).
I work on canvas or paper with Oils, Acrylics, Pastels, Pen and Ink.
